WINTER watercolour cardmaking event - BEDFORDSHIRE DECember 2021 (date TBC)
Paint your own stunning watercolour scenes under the expert guidance of Fine Artist and Therapeutic Art Coach Sarah Clack.
You’ll get a chance to create 4 of your own mini watercolour paintings using a combination of nifty masking and texture techniques, before finally mounting each onto a greetings card complete with envelope to take home and gift to your loved ones.
We begin with a look at some pre-prepared art and cards to fire up your imagination, before practicing watercolour brush strokes and learning some nifty texturing techniques.
Now your creativity is in full flow we apply the masked elements of the images, enjoy a quick tea and coffee break (with biscuits of course!) whilst we wait for the masking fluid to dry, then dive back in fully-fuelled layering vibrant colours to complete the scenes. Once the paint has dried comes the satisfying reveal when we peel away the masking gum to show the protected white paper in contrast to your beautiful backgrounds.
Finally we trim our paintings to size and mount onto our lovely card blanks ready to send, use the available stencils to add a greeting or message.
